The Friday you know too well

It's 3 PM Friday. The weekly hiring update is due.

You crack open your laptop. The candidate “table” is scattered across a Slack canvas, a Notion page, a few Gmail threads, and your calendar invites. Each candidate needs a status, a stage, and a list of things that actually happened this week.

You start an outline doc. Bullet per candidate, sub-bullets for stages and dates. Forty minutes later, the doc is a wall of unstructured noise.

You paste it into Claude. Ask it to reformat. Edit the output. Paste into Slack.

Hit publish at 5:17 PM. Close the laptop. Your kid's pickup window was 4:45.

This is the hiring tax. You pay it every week.

What if Friday ended at 4:53?

One button. Five minutes. Done.

Open laptop. Hit Generate Report.

The page reads your pipeline as it exists right now and writes a delta-aware update against last week. Unchanged candidates are skipped. New candidates are added. Stage transitions are highlighted. Dates are in plain English.

The output is clean Slack markdown. You scan it, edit two lines for flavor, paste into the channel.

Done. Close laptop. 4:53.

Your CEO reads the update before logging off.

How it works

Three primitives. Nothing else gets in the way.

01

Track candidates as you go

Add candidates as you source them. Move them through stages with one click. No separate “log this” step.

02

We track the timeline for you

Every stage change, every event, every date captured automatically as you work. Pipeline state is always current.

03

Friday afternoon, hit Generate

Delta-aware weekly update in Slack markdown. Copy, paste, post. Five minutes max.

Why this exists

I built it because I needed it.

I'm an engineering leader at a B2B SaaS company. I hire 5-10 engineers a year on top of my actual job, which is shipping product and mentoring my team.

I've used Workable. Greenhouse. Lever. A Notion-Slack-Airtable hack. Some combination of all of the above. None of them was built for me. They were built for recruiters at companies with hiring teams. I'm the EM and the recruiter and the coordinator and the manager.

The breaking point was when I wrote a custom Elisp function in Emacs to fill out candidate emails because the ATS I was paying for couldn't get out of its own way. That's when I realized this wasn't a tooling problem. It was a category problem. The category of ATS doesn't speak to engineering managers running hiring solo.

So I'm building this one. Reporting first. Slack-native. Engineer-built. Flat-rate.

If that's the tool you also wished existed, you're who this is for.

Honest answers

The questions you actually have.

We're already on Workable / Lever / Greenhouse.

Great. Run yours alongside ours for one Friday and decide for yourself. Migration is one click for the major ATSs by launch. If you're committed to your current tool, that's fine. We're not the right fit for everyone.

What about migration from our Notion / Slack / Airtable hack?

Paste your table. We parse it. Your hack becomes a real pipeline. The hack you built when you didn't know what you needed becomes the data we organize for you now that you do.

Where's the AI?

The weekly report works without AI because the data model is right. AI summarization is coming in v2 with BYO API key, so you're not paying for our token bill. Honest reason: AI costs scale with usage and we're keeping the flat $99 / $199 promise.

What if you stop building?

I'm bootstrapping this. No VC pressure to pivot, no acquisition exit hunting. The founding-customer commitment is mutual. If the business folds, you get your deposit back and a full data export. If it succeeds, your $99/mo is locked for as long as you stay subscribed.

Can I cancel?

Yes, monthly. The founding-customer rate is locked in for life as long as you stay subscribed. Cancel and the discount goes back into the pool for the next founding customer.

When does it actually ship?

MVP in 30 days from the day we hit 25 paid founding-customer deposits. We're starting with the candidate timeline, pipeline management, and the one-click weekly Slack update generator. AI summarization, custom report formats, and migration tools come in v2.

Stop paying the hiring tax.

Either the free calculator (quantify what hiring is costing you) or the founding-customer slot ($99/mo locked in for life). Whichever fits where you are right now.
